22 Troubleshooting

You may have previously installed drivers for the PCI
modem card. To check for this, do a right click on the
"My Computer" icon on your desktop. Then select "prop-
erties". On system properties click on the "Device Man-
ager" tab. Then click on the "Network adapter" You
should check to see if the

tec Home DSL Modem
appears in the list of network adapters. If it does not
appear, see the next item in the troubleshooting list. If the
card appears, you should contact modem supplier's prod-
uct support. You should ask which version of the soft-
ware driver should be installed.

The card is not firmly seated in the PCI slot. You should
power down the PC and remove the PCI modem card
from the PCI slot. Then re-insert the card on the PCI slot
and power the PC on.
