4.3 System power state definitions
System power state S3 the “sleep state”:
All power is off except memory. If power is removed at this point you
will lose your current session.
System power state S4 the “hibernate state”:
Safe to remove power, will always resume the current session when
power is reapplied.
There are three basic states indicated by the Status LED:
•
Status LED steady “Green On” when the system is running.
•
Status LED “Blink Green” when the system enters sleep state
S3.
•
Status LED will turn off when the system enters Sleep state S4
Hibernate.
- Condition of the Status LED
0 - Represents a Low state
1 - Represents a High state
Note:
1.
S3# and S4# are active low signals (# indicates active low).
2.
It is ok to remove power from the system when the Status LED is off.
3.
S5 State is not monitored by the LED however the Status LED will go off
during a S5 or shutdown condition.
