– Installation
Instructions
Before installing the
Sentry Barrier TL-4 ThrieBeam System
, ensure that all components required
for the system are on site and have been identified. The
Sentry Barrier TL-4 ThrieBeam System
is
an engineered safety device made up of relatively small number of parts. Please ensure familiarity

Site Preparation
It is preferred that the
Sentry Barrier TL-4 ThrieBeam System

commences from the last post connected to the asymmetric transition rail (on
ThrieBeam end), working upstream to the prior asymmetric transition rail. It is recommended that a
string line be used to obtain the correct orientation and placement of the posts.
Post Orientation with traffic flow direction
Ensure posts are correctly orientated in relation to traffic flow direction by positioning the closed side
of the post towards oncoming traffic. Refer to below.
BEFORE DRILLING OR EXCAVATION ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE AREA IS CLEAR

Construction of Terminal End or Crash Cushion
The
Sentry Barrier TL-4 ThrieBeam System
is compatible with a variety of terminal ends and
crash cushions depending upon the availability of designated transition details and Local Road
Controlling Authority approval specifications. Refer to the
Appendices
section and Local Road
Controlling Authority approval specifications for details. The selection of a suitable design will depend
primarily upon the soil type, and geometric constraints of the site. Please refer to the relevant
terminal end or crash cushion Installation Manual for guidance to the construction and installation
procedure of that specific device.
