this test, you or your aid should disinfect your meter prior to each testing. The
meter disinfection process has been validated through repeated disinfection cycles,
which is equivalent to 5 years of meter usage based on once daily cleaning and
disinfection processes. This is to ensure that your meter will operate properly, even
with the disinfection process applied to it for 5 years.
You should always check to ensure all display segments appear when you turn the
meter on. This means your meter is properly working. However, if you have any
problem with your meter, please contact Customer Support at 1-800-838-9502.
Note:
All parts of the kit are considered biohazardous. They can potentially
transmit infectious diseases, even after you have performed cleaning and
disinfection. Please follow proper precautions when handling your meter.
Although it has not been observed, some alterations may appear on your meter
due to the cleaning and disinfection procedure. Such as: cloudy display window,
plastic housing cracking, meter buttons do not function, partial display on full
screen, unable to execute the meter’s initial set up, etc. Stop using the meter and
please contact Customer Support for help.
General Maintenance
Your Blood Glucose Meter is intended for single patient use. Do not share your
meter with others, including family members. Always remember to pre-clean and
disinfect your meter. These are important steps to prevent the potential
transmission of infectious diseases.
Avoid getting liquids, dirt, blood or control solution into the meter’s strip or data
ports.
It is recommended that you store the meter in the carrying case after each use.
