5.5.9 Relays

Option

The Relays functionality of the transmitter is fixed as follows:

•

Relay 1 – alarm 1

•

Relay 2 – alarm 2

•

Relay 3 – alarm 3

•

Relay 4 – fail alarm

All four relays can be configured as normally energized or normally de-energized. It is
recommended that the Fail Alarm is normally energized and that the Gas Alarms are normally
de-energized to ensure the proper operation during power failure (Fail asserted, Gas Alarms de-
asserted).
