Using the LAN MAC EEPROM Utility

0

Perform the following steps to write MAC (Media Access Control) information to 
EEPROM:

Use 

LAN.BAT

 utility to write MAC values to EEPROM under DOS mode.

1.

Get into a MS-DOS prompt and enter ipconfig /all to get ‘MAC address’ (MAC address 
is the 16 digit number given as Physical Address ).

2.

Run the LAN.BAT file. 

3.

Enter the ’MAC address’ to write MAC values. Flash process begins as shown as 
follow:

4.

Flash is completed when the message, Compare ACER & OEM S/N of ESN EEPROM: 
PASS, is shown.

5.

At the command prompt, run 

VEEPROM.EXE

 to write any changes in the data to the 

EEPROM.

6.

Reboot the system when the process has completed.
