Using an AC Power Adapter (Optional Accessory)
Using an AC power adapter prevents the camera from automatically powered
off while transferring files to your computer.
Perform the steps in the preceding section “Charging the Battery”.
Make sure to use only the AC power adapter specified for the digital
camera. Damage caused by the use of an incorrect adapter is not
covered under the warranty.
Inserting and Removing an SD Card (Optional Accessory)
The digital camera comes with approx. 32 MB of internal memory (25.9 MB for
image storage), allowing you to store captured still images or movie clips in the
digital camera. However, you can also expand the memory capacity by using an
optional SD card so that you can store more files.
Inserting an SD card
1. Open the battery/SD card cover.
2 . I n s e r t t h e S D c a r d i n t h e c o r r e c t

the camera, and then insert the card
as far as it can go. There will be a
distinct click as the card seats fully
into the card slot.
3. Close the battery/SD card cover.
Removing an SD card
Open the battery/SD card cover, press lightly on the edge of the SD card and it
will eject.
To prevent valuable data from being accidentally erased from an SD card
you can slide the write-protected tab (on the side of the SD card) to “LOCK”.
However, to save, edit or erase data on an SD card, you must unlock the card.
