Appendix: Installation of USB Driver

Important Update:

if your PC is running Windows7 operating

system (or a later version), you can skip the USB driver installation
process. Otherwise, please follow the instructions below.

AM8040 precision thermometer and wireless transceiver are designed
with a USB interface. The installation of a USB driver is required the
first time these instruments are connected to a computer.

The USB drivers for AM8040 precision thermometer and wireless
transceiver are the same. The installation can be done by following the
steps below:

When AM8040 precision thermometer is first connected to a
computer, the OS will pop up “Found New Hardware”:
