
Tips for Testing by Healthcare Professionals
• Wear gloves.
• Always use the test strip ejector to remove a used test strip.
• For each person use a separate lancet and lancing device or a single-use lancet device, which is specially
intended for this type of application.
• Discard used lancets and test strips in an appropriate biohazard container or in accordance with your facility’s
disposal procedure.
• Be sure to observe all relevant Health and Safety regulations.
A potential infection risk exists. Medical staff and other persons using the ACCU-CHEK Go meter to test
blood glucose from more than one resident must be aware that any item coming into contact with
human blood is a potential source of infection. (Please see "Protection of Laboratory Workers from
