Write job memory By setting "Write job memory" to 1, the currently defined
welding condition of the number specified as the save
location number is written.
If "Load job memory" and "Write job memory" are set to 1,
both processes are disabled.

Air-blast
The value 1 signals that the clean mode is active.
3
4
Wire brake
The value 1 signals that the wire brake is active.

5
Maintenance
The value 1 signals that maintenance mode is active. If
maintenance mode is active, the welding start signal is not
accepted.

Permission to change
settings
If this is bit 1, the setting values of offset 4 and higher are
applied to the welding machine. If this is bit 0, the setting
values from offset 4 and higher are ignored by the device.
However, the function numbers of offsets 8, 21, 24, and 27
are not parameters that cause changes to the device, so
they are always valid. For example, if the permission to
change settings is set to 0 and offset 18 (function (port 1)
no.) is set, offsets 19 and 20 (function (port 1) setting value)
will not be applied to the device. Instead, the function
values already set for the device are output in the input data
of offsets 19 and 20.

Characteristic curve Specifies the characteristic curve.
If a non-existent welding mode combination is set,
a warning is issued and the welding mode that was in use
before the setting was made remains. Similarly, if
iArc mX Speed penetration control is activated, no warning
is issued even though a characteristic curve without
a penetration control combination is selected, and the
penetration control is correctly deactivated.
The warning is canceled when a correct combination for
the characteristic curve is set.

TRAVEL SPEED
Selects an application.
Tab. 31 Setting the travel speed on page EN
The setting cannot be changed during welding.

2–4
WELDING
METHOD
Selects a welding procedure.
Tab. 32 Setting the welding procedure on page EN
During the welding process, the welding procedure setting
cannot be switched between iArc mX Clean welding
procedure and other welding procedures.

SHIELDING GAS
TYPE
Selects the shielding gas type.
Tab. 33 Setting the shielding gas type on page EN
The setting cannot be changed during welding.
