2.5 Product-specific safety instructions
2.6 Personal protective equipment
► Wear your personal protective equipment (PPE).
► Ensure that others in close proximity are also wearing personal protective equipment.
Personal protective equipment consists of protective clothing, safety goggles, a class P3 respiratory mask,
protective gloves, and safety shoes.
2.7 Emergency information
► In the event of an emergency, immediately disconnect the following supplies:
— Electrical power supply
— Gas supply
WARNING
Risk of injury due to entering the device’s work area
There is a risk of injury in the device’s work area.
► Ensure that no-one is in the device’s work area when setting it in motion.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to the device falling
At the end of workpieces, during operation on inclined or vertical surfaces, or in the event of high
external temperatures, the device may fall and cause serious injuries.
► Never leave the device to operate unattended.
► Always protect the device against falling. To do this, an anti-fall guard (e.g. fall arrester) must be
attached. Use the securing lugs for this, and observe the total weight inclusive of the attached parts
such as accessories, torch and cable assembly.
► Stop the device in the boundary area in good time before the end of the workpiece. To do this,
actuate the travel direction switch.
► Operating the device on inclined or vertical surfaces is only permissible with an optionally available
guide rail system.
► High external temperatures may affect the stability of the magnet. Observe the maximum ambient
temperature for operation.
CAUTION
Risk of crushing
Limbs may be crushed due to improper mounting or dismounting of device components as well as
actuation of the magnetic lever.
► Keep your hands out of the danger zone.
► Check and wear your personal protective equipment.
