5. The control board could be defective

6. The upper casing is not tightly tied to the lower casing.

C. If there is no dehumidification at all with the air mover running just fine but the

compressor is stalled, check

1. Defective connection in the compressor circuit
2. Defective compressor or an overload
3. A defective control motherboard
4. Defective capacitor in the compressor
5. Defective compressor
6. Closed safety float switch. In this case, check the
status of the reservoir

D.  If the air mover fails to run with the compressor running intermittently, check

1. If there is a loose connection in the blower circuit
2. If there is an obstruction that prevents the impeller from rotating
3. The air mover may be defective

E. If there is some dehumidification but you notice it is way below what you expect, check

1. If the humidity sensor is defective
2. The measurement for temperature and or humidity is not calibrated properly
3. The humidity and or temperature have reduced
4. The defrost thermistor could be defective

F. If the dehumidifier is running but isn’t pumping water, check

1. If the motor of the pump is defective
2. If the hose is not plugged in or is twisted
3. If there is a bad connection within the circuit of the pump
4. Check the float switch
5. If there is an internal disconnection of the hose
6. If the valve for pump check is plugged

G. When the dehumidifier automatically pumps water but does not do so when you push
the PURGE button, check if

1. There is a bad connection within the circuit of the purge button
2. The control board is defective

H. Of the evaporator coil continuously frosts, with a low capacity of dehumidification, check

1. If the defrost thermistor is defective or loose
2. If the refrigerant charge is low

3. If the air filter  is dirty or the airflow is restricted
4. The front casing is not tied to the rear one

I. If the compressor runs with its air button turned off, check if

1. The control board is defective

AirMover

The impeller causes the air to move
If it is defective, the whole assembly should be replaced,

1. Remove the power cable from the power socket
2. Pull out the exhaust and the control board
3. Remove the impeller bracket
4. Disconnect the leads of the impeller
5. Undo the impeller screws holding it to the mounting plate
6. Put the new impeller together by reassembling it step by step in the reverse of the
above process

Thermistor Probe

1. Unplug the unit
2. Remove the housing at the top
3. Pull the probe of the thermistor up and remove it from the evaporator coil
4. Remove the cover of the evaporator control board
5. Unwind the thread wire of the thermistor from its harness
6. Remove the thermistor probe connector

The thermistor senses the temperature of the evaporator coil. It is inserted through
the top of the evaporator coil. If you wish to replace the thermistor,

7. Assemble the probe of the thermistor and humidifier by reversing the steps outlined above.

Troubleshooting

A. Conduct checks and the following procedures below if you experience any of the following

problems with your unit: if the unit does not dehumidify at all, if its controls do not light up, or if

the unit does not turn on at all.

1.See if the cable of the unit is unplugged or if there is no power supply to the outlet you
are using. If these are alright,

2.Check the control board or

3.Check if there is a loose connection in the wiring inside the unit

B. If the compressor runs erratically, even though there is some dehumidification and the

air mover without stopping.

1. The dehumidifier is in the defrost cycle
2. The defrost sensor is defective or even loose
3. There is a loose connection inside, most likely in the circuit of the compressor
4. The compressor may be defective or even overloaded
