If the optionally installed filter regulator is installed, it has to be checked regularly as well.
Additionally, the control position should be checked periodically for conformity with the
tolerance limit.
3.6.1 Functional test of the shutdown module
Proceed as described below:
1. Remove the cover.
2. Alternately set the slide switch (1) from the "On" position in the middle to the
top and bottom position ("Off1" or "Off2") and check that the actuator is depres-
surized properly.
3. Set the slide switch to the "On" position in the middle again.
4. Replace the cover.

WARNING
If the optional shutdown module is used, it must be subject to a functional
test every two years at the latest to ensure full operational reliability in
compliance with DIN V 19250. Otherwise, the AK4 approval will lapse.
Do not perform this test in a potentially hazardous atmosphere, as
the case must be opened for testing. Either test the positioner in the
workshop or lab or make sure that there is no explosion hazard.

WARNING
Handle the cover with care! Otherwise, the sealing surface may be
damaged. This will void the explosion protection (Ex d).
Grab the cover in the middle when opening. Do not cant! Place the cover
on clean, even surfaces only! Avoid any pollution of the sealing surface.
