Normal behaviour, no malfunction
Turbo-
charger
Minor uniform wear around the periphery of rotor components,
caused by slight local rubbing of adjacent components, is
permissible. The compressor blades and turbine blades are then
shortened somewhat. Certain tolerances must be observed to avoid
a significant loss of efficiency.
If there is any doubt about the extent of rubbing, then an ABB
Turbocharging Service Station must be contacted.
Have a dimension check carried out by an ABB Turbocharging
Service Station.
