Reaction on DALI or EIB bus voltage recovery

Option:

no change

max. brightness value

min. brightness value

 Off

With this parameter, you determine how the connected DALI devices
react when the EIB / KNX power supply or DALI control voltage (DG/S 1.1
operating voltage) recovers. In addition to the “no change” and “Off”
states, the “max. brightness value” and “min. brightness value” are
available. These values can be parameterised in the parameter window
“Devices Channel x” (x = A, B) of the corresponding DALI device. The
“Off” setting switches all DALI devices off.
The “no change” setting leaves the brightness of the device unchanged in
the event of a voltage failure and the timing sequences are retained. The
information (no change) is stored in the DALI device.

To function correctly, the DALI devices must be connected with operating
voltage.

The DALI slaves have the attribute of assuming their
maximum brightness value after their operating voltage (230
V) has recovered. This behaviour (Power Setup) is defined by
manufacturers of ballasts and cannot be influenced by the
DG/S 1.1. As far as the parameterisation is concerned, “no
change” means that the brightness (100 %) defined by the
manufacturer will be initially set. As the information
“unchanged” is stored in the ballast after DALI voltage
recovery, the maximum brightness value is retained after
recovery of the DALI voltage.

If the supply voltage of the DALI equipment only becomes available at a
later stage, the parameterisation is not retroactive. The DALI devices also
assume the maximum brightness set at the factory.

The resetting of the ballast fault may take 90 seconds. This time is
dependent on the number of DALI devices connected to the channel.

Reaction on communication fault:

Option:

no change

Brightness value when turned on

max. brightness value

min. brightness value

 Off

With this parameter, it is possible to define how the DALI devices are set
if voltage is available, but no communication telegram has been received
with the value "1" via the communication object “Telegr. Communication
receive” within the defined receive interval. The time lapse for the receive
interval is adjustable in the “

Status

” parameter with the function

“Send/receive communication telegram cyclic”. If a "1" telegram is not
received in this time, the DALI-Gateway assumes a safe state. The
brightness of the DALI device is set with this parameter. The states
“Brightness value when turned on”, “max. brightness value” or “min.
brightness value” are available. These parameters can be configured in
the “Device X” parameter window. With the setting “no change”, the
brightness of the device with an EIB / KNX communication fault remains
unchanged and the timing will continue. The “Off” setting switches all
DALI devices off.
