Table 3-1 shows that the PEX430 can be manually configured for a number of
different operating conditions and that, in some cases, the jumpers can have more
than one function; the operation of the jumpers being altered by the state of some
external signals, for instance. The following sections describe the available functions
and which jumpers are associated with each function.

CAUTION
Unless specifically noted in this manual, jumpers should not be changed while the board is powered.
NOTE
The PEX430 can be configured for XMC I/O or PMC I/O. This configuration is a build time option and the
appropriate PEX430 needs to be ordered.

PMC Clock Override (E1)
Normally, the PMC clock frequency will be selected automatically by the fitting of a
PMC. However, it is possible to override this setting manually.

CAUTION
These jumpers are also used for setting the PCI Express upstream port configuration. It should be noted
that even if these jumpers are being used for PCI Express upstream configuration the PMC clock frequency
will also be changed (See 3.1.3
