9 Warranty and liability
9.1 Warranty
AAT Al ber An triebs tech nik GmbH grants a war ran ty of two ye ars for all its
pro ducts of type s-max in clu ding all its ac ces so ry parts (with the ex cep ti on
of the sea led lead acid bat te ries). The war ran ty be gins at the date of pur cha -
se and co vers fai lu re of ma te ri al and er rors in ma nu fac tu ring.
For the sea led lead acid bat te ries, al ways as su ming cor rect main ten an ce,
AAT Al ber An triebs tech nik GmbH grants a war ran ty of one year from the date
of pur cha se.
The war ran ty be co mes void con cer ning de fects or da ma ge which are the re -
sult of the fol lo wing:
•
da ma ge due to ex ces si ve strain
•
da ma ge due to im pro per hand ling
•
vio lent da ma ge
•
na tu ral wear and tear such as bra ke li nings, gli ding stirp hou sing and
clim ber, tre ad pla te, clim bing rol lers
•
im pro per and in suf fi cient main ten an ce
•
un aut ho ri zed con struc tio nal chan ges or inap pro pria te use of the de -
vi ce or its ac ces so ries
•
using the s-max ex cee ding its ma xi mum lif ting ca pa ci ty
•
im pro per char ging of the lead bat te ries.
9.2 Lia bi li ty
The ma nu fac tu rer AAT Al ber An triebs tech nik GmbH is neit her li ab le nor re -
spon si ble for po ten ti al da ma ge of the s-max in case of:
•
im pro per hand ling of the de vi ce.
•
re pair, as sem bly or ot her work per for med on the s-max by un aut ho ri -
zed per sons.
•
ope ra ti on not in ac cor dan ce with this user’s ma nu al.
•
ex tra ne ous parts ad ded or con nec ted to the s-max.
•
parts re mo ved from the s-max.
•
ope ra ti on ex cee ding the ma xi mum lif ting ca pa ci ty.
•
ope ra ti on of the s-max with in suf fi cient ly char ged bat te ries.
•
the up per and lo wer bra ckets as well as the ad ju sting rings of the
s-max were not pro per ly ad jus ted to the re spec ti ve wheel chair .
