8.1 Moving on level ground / overcoming obstacles
Adjust the neutral position
(refer to chapter 6.4).
» Fully retract the climbing
legs.
To negotiate thresholds, re-
verse the c-max U2 up to
them and then pull it over the
threshold.

NOTE - The climbing legs must not have been extended, otherwise they could be damaged!

NOTE - Do not overcome obstacles forwards, otherwise the safety brakes will be damaged!
8.2 Tilting the stair climbing system
WARNING - The c-max U2 must be tilted for climbing stairs and moving on slopes!
Support your foot on the drive
housing and tilt c-max U2
backwards.
» The device must be bal-
anced.
» The device is balanced
when neither pressure nor
tension is felt in the handle.
The c-max U2 can be moved.
» In case of excessive tilting,
the safety brakes stop the
c-max U2 in forward direc-
tion.
Recommendation by
the manufacturer:
If you cannot tilt the c-max
U2 by yourself, use the
climbing legs as a
tipping
aid
.
» Switch on the c-max U2
» Press the UP/DOWN
switch in the DOWN di-
rection until the wheels
lift approx. 1-2 cm off the
ground

Tilt the c-max U2 (fi g-

legs completely again.
