Maintenance

When

What

Note

Prior to a trip

Check hand brake for proper functioning

Activate hand brake lever. – Crazy Horse wheel must

not turn under operational conditions.

The hand brake lever must not slip on the tube or twist.

Check brake pads for wear.

By yourself or with an assistant;

Immediately consult a specialist workshop

for maintenance in case of an increasingly

loose brake lever, decreasing braking

effect or worn brake pads. – Safety

hazard!

Check tyre inflation

standard tyres: 3 bar.

By yourself or with an assistant.

Consult an approved specialist workshop

for maintenance in case of worn tyre

profiles or tyre damages.

Check frame tube and other supporting wheelchair or

Crazy Horse parts

Consult an approved specialist workshop

in case of fissures or other damages.

Ask for reinforced frame tubes.

Every 4 weeks

(depending on frequency

of use)

Apply a few drops of oil to the following components

- movable locking parts

- brake lever bearing

By yourself or with an assistant.

Clean components off residual oil before

applying new oil.

Make sure that excess oil does not

contaminate the environment (e.g. your

clothes).

Check all screw connections for tightness

By yourself or with an assistant

Every 2 months
