FOOTSWITCH NUMBER ADVANCE
RETROFITTING A STANDARD AN-E MACHINE
-Drill 5/8"dia. hole in rear of bottom casting-location specified on diagram.
WIRING MACHINE
Wire machine per wiring diagram 08-218-43 and/or perform the following steps:
1-P.C. Bd must be D revision or later. If not, it must be replaced with p/n 1-7310-
1129.
2-If number advance is to be controlled by footswitch only, modify P.C. Bd by
clipping off Q4.
3-Insert footswitch cord through 5/8" dia. hole securing it in place using
Grommet p/n 2160-552.
4-Insert black wire in position 6 of connector and white wire in position 2.
5-Fasten green (ground) wire to existing screw located at base of bottom
casting-already containing two other ground wires.

-Drill 5/8"dia. hole in rear of bottom casting-location specified on diagram.
WIRING AN-E/AR-E MACHINE
Wire an AN-E machine per wiring diagram 08-218-44 (AR-E machine:08-217-31) and/or
perform the following steps:
1-Remove yellow wires from positions 7 & 9 of connector.
2-Insert footswitch cord through 5/8" dia. hole securing it in place using
Grommet p/n 2160-552.
3-Insert black wire in position 9 of connector and white wire in position 7.
4-Fasten green (ground) wire to existing screw located at base of bottom
casting-already containing two other ground wires.
