3. Disconnect and remove the fan
from the combus on chamber as
follows:

Remove the 2 Phillips/hex
head screws poin ng down
from the fan using a #2
Phillips head screw driver.

Slide the fan toward you to
remove it from the slots that
hold it in place.

Complete the steps in

Models).”
Preparing the
New SECONDARY
Heat Exchanger
for Installa on
(Outdoor Models)
NOTICE: Assembly of the secondary
heat exchanger is different for the
indoor and outdoor models.
1. Remove the following items from
the secondary heat exchanger,
then INSTALL THEM IN THE
SAME LOCATIONS ON THE NEW
HEAT EXCHANGER:
•
Flue gasket (item 152, p. 70)
which is located around the
exhaust.
•
Flue exhaust port (item 153, p.
70), which is secured by four
screws.
2. Complete the steps in “Installing
the Heat Exchanger (Outdoor
Models).”
Installing the
Heat Exchanger
(Outdoor Models)
1. Connect the primary and secondary
heat exchangers, making sure that
the
fl
ange on top of the primary heat
exchanger (male connector) goes into
the connec on on the bo om of the
secondary heat exchanger. The tube
from the primary heater will insert
into the back elbow on the secondary
heat exchanger. (Figure 55.)
2. Make sure that the screw holes
on the sides and back line up
properly. Insert and hand- ghten
all four (4) moun ng screws. See
Figure 53.
3. A ach fastener 14-22 (item 458, page
70) where the connec on tube
from the primary heat exchanger and
the back elbow on the secondary
heat exchanger meet. (Figure 60,
page 52.)
(“14-22” is marked on the end of this
clip; all such clips are marked on the
end in the same manner.)
4. Install the fan with the air inlet
facing toward the front.
4.1
Slide the fan discharge into
the slots on the bo om of
the combus on chamber.
