Maintenance
(continued)
Applying / Buffi ng Roller Replacement
Replacing roller requires removal of the mounting
screw
(Figure 4-2 - also see Parts List).
Cleaning
Regular slotted containers produce a great deal
of dust and paper chips when conveyed through
taping heads. If this dust is allowed to build-up
on the heads, it can cause wear on the moving
parts. Excessive dirt build-up should be wiped
off with a damp cloth. Cleaning should be done
once per month, depending on the number and
type of boxes used. If the boxes used are dirty, or
if the environment in which the heads operate is
dusty, cleaning on a more frequent basis may be
necessary.
Note –
Never attempt to remove dirt from taping
heads by blowing it out with compressed
air. This can cause the dirt to be blown inside
moving parts. Dirt in these areas can cause
serious equipment damage. Never wash
or subject taping heads to conditions that
cause moisture condensation on components.
Serious equipment damage could result.
