RIP
119
Configuring RIP to Filter the Received Routes
Configuring RIP to Filter the Distributed Routes
By default, RIP will not filter the received and distributed routing information.
■
The
filter-policy import
command filters the RIP routes received from its
neighbors, and the routes that cannot pass the filter will not be added to the
routing table, and will not be advertised to the neighbors.
■
The
filter-policy export
command filters all the advertised routes,
including routes imported by using the
import-route
command, and RIP
routes learned from the neighbors.
■
If the
filter-policy export
command does not specify which route is to be
filtered, then all the routes imported by the
import-route
command and the
transmitted RIP routes will be filtered.
Displaying and
Debugging RIP
After configuring RIP, enter the
display
command in any view to display the RIP
configuration, and to verify the effect of the configuration. Enter the
debugging
command in User View to debug the RIP module. Enter the
reset
command in RIP
View to reset the system configuration parameters of RIP.
