Methods of
Managing a Switch
You can manage a Switch using one of the following methods:
■
Web interface management
— Each Switch has an internal set of web
pages that allow you to manage the Switch using a Java
®
-enabled
Web browser.
■
Command line interface management
— Each Switch has a command
line interface that allows you to manage the Switch.
■
SNMP management
— You can manage a Switch using any Network
Manager running the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP),
such as 3Com Transcend
®
Enterprise Manager software.
For maximum manageability, we recommend that you use 3Com
Transcend Enterprise Manager software.
