The
Call Forward Default
page defines basic call forwarding. You
choose from four destinations: voicemail box, a phone number, the
automated attendant, or disconnection. You can override these settings
on the
Call Forward Override
page or by making changes on the
telephone.
To set the default call forwarding:
1
Log in to
NBX NetSet > User Information > Call Forward Default
.
2
Select your choice for the
Number of rings before forwarding a call
.
3
Select a call coverage point:
■
If you select
Forward to voicemail box
, the caller can leave a
message.
■
If you select
Forward phone number
, enter that extension or
external phone number in the box.
The number that you choose may be limited by your call permissions. To
view your permissions, see
NBX NetSet > User Information > Call
Permissions
.
The check box below
Forward phone number
specifies where you
want to forward calls that are not answered at the internal extension
that you specified as the Forward phone number.
If you check the box, calls that are unanswered at the number you
forward them to are passed on to your choice of:
■
User Voicemail
— Your voicemail box
■
Default Menu
— The default automated attendant, usually
extension 500
■
Voicemail
— The default system voicemail, usually extension 501
If you leave the box unchecked, calls that are unanswered at the
number you forward them to are passed on to the destination
specified for that number. This setting can result in having your calls
forwarded to another person’s voicemail or to a loop of forwarding
where the call is never answered.
