USING A MIDI CONTROLLER

MIDI HARDWARE CONNECTIONS

The razzmatazz MIDI In can be connected to devices
that support TRS MIDI Type A or Type B. You can also use
the included TRS MIDI Adapter to connect to MIDI 5 Pin
DIN controllers. Be sure to use a TRS cable (not a TS
cable) to connect to your MIDI Devices. TRS Cables have
two black bands on the stem, while TS cables only have
one.

The MIDI Out uses TRS Type B. You can use the included
TRS adapter to connect to MIDI 5 Pin DIN controllers.

The razzmatazz does not support USB MIDI.

The razzmatazz is designed to work on its own, but when paired with a MIDI
controller you can get more immediate access to the following features:

• MIDI triggered pads with velocity and pressure
• Changing presets with MIDI program changes
• MIDI modulation of parameters accessed through the Pad Dashboard

• Velocity
• Pressure
• Mod Wheel

• MIDI CC control of the Macro Controls
• MIDI CC control of the Mixer settings
• MIDI CC control of the FX Sends
• Pass through MIDI to MIDI Out
• Optionally change pad selection in the UI when triggering via MIDI
