Connecting devices under Windows 10
Click in the
Start menu
on
Settings
.
Click on the entry
Network and Internet.
Click on
WLAN
and you verify that the
Wireless network connection
is set to
On
.
Click under
Wireless Network Connection
on the wireless network name
(SSID) of your VMG8825 and then click
Connect
.
You will find the name of the wireless network (SSID) and the wireless securi-
ty key for the factory default settings on the nameplate at the bottom of the
device.
Enter the wireless security key (
WPA2 key
) in the
Enter Network Key
input
field and click
Next
.
Connecting devices under Android
For smartphones and tablets with the operating system Android 4.xx or higher,
please follow these steps:
Tap on the
Settings
icon and then select the item
Wi-Fi
.
Activate the Wi-Fi function.
Tap on the Wi-Fi name (SSID) of your VMG8825.
You will find the name of the wireless network (SSID) and the wireless securi-
ty key for the factory default settings on the nameplate at the bottom of the
device.
Enter the Wi-Fi key (
WPA2 key
) of your VMG8825 in the
Password
input field a
tap
Connect
.
Using the WPS function to connect devices
WPS
(Wi-Fi Protected Setup) allows you to connect new wireless devices with your
wireless network by pressing a button on the VMG8825. This allows you to quickly
and easily integrate devices that support the WPS function into your wireless
home network.
Press the
WPS
button on the VMG8825 for about one second. The
WPS
LED
on the top of your device starts flashing green.
Enable the
WPS
feature on the wireless device within the next 2 minutes.
Observe the operating instructions of the corresponding device.
The Wi-Fi configuration has been successfully completed when the VMG8825
LED on the
lights solid green again.

NOTE
The WPS button can be used just for one Frequency. By default it is activated for
2,4 GHz.
You can change the setting for WPS via the user interface or even turn off WPS
completely if your VMG8825 is located at a freely accessible site, for example.
