18. What is content filter?
Internet Content filter allows you to create and enforce Internet access policies
tailored to your needs. Content filter gives you the ability to block web sites that
contain key words (that you specify) in the URL. You can set a schedule for
when the P-660HWP-Dx performs content filtering. You can also specify
trusted IP Addresses on LAN for which the P-660HWP-Dx will not perform
content filtering. You can configure the details about it in Web Configurator,
Advanced setup, Security -> Content Filter.
19. What is HomePlug AV?
HomePlug AV (HPAV) represents the next generation of technology from the
HomePlug Powerline Alliance.
Its purpose is to provide high-quality, multi-stream, entertainment oriented
networking over existing AC wiring within the home.
P660HWP-Dx supports HomePlug AV, providing up to 200Mbps of data rate
for triple-play service. HPAV aims to be the network of choice for the
distribution of data and multi-stream entertainment including HDTV, SDTV,
and audiophile quality audio throughout the home. It is designed to provide the
best connectivity at the highest QoS of the home networking technologies
competing for these applications. HomePlug AV enables all devices with a
power plug to have network access through HPAV.
20. What is TR069?
TR-069 is a protocol for communication between a CPE and
Auto-Configuration Server (ACS) that encompasses secure auto-configuration
as well as other CPE management functions within a common framework.
The TR-069 CPE WAN Management Protocol from the DSL Forum defines a
mechanism that encompasses secure auto-configuration of a CWMP, and also
incorporates other CWMP management functions into a common framework.
Service Providers can use one common platform to manage through the
Internet. This includes all the CWMP devices, no matter neither what the
device nor the manufacturer it is.
P660HWP-Dx supports TR-069 CPE WAN Management Protocol, which
allows an ACS access to control and monitor various parameters.
