4.2 ZyXEL Device Setup in Wireless Client Mode

This example shows you how to restrict wireless access to your ZyXEL Device.

4.2.1 Scenario

In the figure below, there are two ZyXEL Devices (

and

) in the network.

Access Point (AP) mode while

is in Wireless Client mode. Station

is connected

to a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) server. You want only specified wireless clients to
be able to access station

. You also want to allow wireless traffic between

wireless clients connected to

4.2.2 Configuring the ZyXEL Device in Access Point Mode

Before setting up the ZyXEL Device as a wireless client (

), you need to make

sure there is an access point to connect to. Use the Ethernet port on your ZyXEL
Device to configure it via a wired connection.
