Instal l val ve to control stop wi th the bottom of the val ve ti l ted
sl i ghtl y up towards you and l eave the val ve nut l oose. Make
sure not t o damage o-ri ng on val ve. Make sure vacuum breaker
and vacuum breaker di sc are properl y i nst al l ed wi t hi n t he f l ush
t ube. Rot at e val ve down over vacuum breaker t ube and t i ght en
tube nut to val ve. Af ter tube nut i s ti ght, ti ghten val ve nut to
control stop.
STEP 9 - Actuator I nstal l ati on (Fi gure 9)
Sl i de wal l f l ange over t he chrome cover t ube as shown. Connect
t he pl ug connect or on t he ZEMS-I S act uat or wi t h t he DC power
pl ug l ocat ed wi t hi n t he access hol e j ust behi nd t he f l ush val ve.
Careful l y tuck the wi res back i nto the access hol e. Instal l
handl e gasket i nto actuator nut and ti ghten actuator to val ve.
Push wal l fl ange agai nst wal l and ti ghten set screw.

STEP 6 - Vacuum Breaker Fl ush Connecti on (Fi gure 6)
Pl ace vacuum breaker and vacuum breaker di sc i n tube as
shown. Sl i de t he t ube nut , spud nut , sl i p washer , rubber gasket
and spud escut cheon over t he vacuum breaker t ube and i nsert
tube i nto fi xture spud. Hand ti ghten spud nut on to fi xture
spud.
STEP 5 - Control Stop I nstal l ati on (Fi gure 5)
Instal l the Zurn control stop val ve and wal l escutcheon to the
water suppl y l i ne wi th the outl et posi ti oned as requi red.

STEP 10 - Fl ush Out Suppl y Li ne (Fi gure 9)
Cl ose control stop. Remove val ve body cover and l i ft out tri p
mechani sm. Rei nst al l i nt ernal cap and val ve body cover . Turn
on water suppl y to fl ush l i ne of any debri s or sedi ment. Af ter
compl eti on, shut off control stop, remove cover and rei nstal l
the tri p mechani sm. Instal l the i nternal cap and val ve body
cover wrench t i ght .
STEP 8 - Courtesy Fl ush Opti on (Fi gure 8)
Product i s confi gured at ti me of shi pment for a 168 hour
courtesy fl ush. (SW 1 i n OFF posi ti on.) If a 48 hour courtesy
f l ush i s desi red, remove rear cover and set SW 1 t o ON posi t i on.
