The RPR control subsystem consists of three functional modules:

NM module (RM)
The NM module provides two types of management mode:
Local CLI and S300 management platform.
The NM module implements configuration, maintenance,
troubleshooting, performance management, storage and
management on management data and protocol data.

Protocol module
The protocol module defined by 802.17 d2.0 implements four
protocols: just algorithm, topology discovery, protection
protocol (steering & wrapping), OAM and STP.

Hardware interface module
The hardware interface module provides control and data
channel to the NM module and protocol module,
implementing the interaction between the upper layer and
the lower layer.
The bearer subsystem system contains ten modules:

OM01 module: Packet receiving module

OM03 module: Ethernet classification module
„
OM04 module: RPR encapsulation module
„
OM05 module: Ether encapsulation module
„
OM06 module: RPR transmitter module
„
OM07 module: L2 transmitter module

OM09 module: Queue manager module
