Most apps that send notifications, such as Gmail and Google
Talk, have notification settings that you can adjust.
NOTE:
If you turn off notifications for an app, you may miss its
important alerts and updates. The notifications of some apps
cannot be turned off.
TIP:
In the notification panel, touch
at the top of the
notifications list to get to the
Settings
menu quickly.
Use Quick Settings
The Quick Settings in the notification panel make it convenient to
view or change the most common settings for your phone.
Open the notification panel and you can find the following Quick
Settings at the top of the screen. Slide left or right to view more of
the settings options.
Auto-rotate:
Touch to turn on or off the Auto-rotate feature.
Sound:
Touch to switch between vibration and sound.
Wi-Fi:
Touch to turn on or off Wi-Fi.
Data:
Touch to enable or disable data access over the mobile
network.
Bluetooth:
Touch to turn on or off Bluetooth.
Location in use:
Touch to turn on or off the GPS function.
Sync:
Touch to turn on or off account synchronization.
Airplane mode:
Touch to turn on or off the airplane mode.
Brightness:
Touch to adjust the screen brightness.
