Hold the motor shaft with a ¼” hex allen
wrench while unscrewing the impeller from
the motor shaft with your hand. Turn the
impeller counter-clockwise to unscrew it. See
Figure 15.

Inspect the impeller and diffuser for signs of
rubbing and/or damage.

Impeller Reassembly
1.
Press the new carbon face seal half (see
Figures 16 and 17) on the impeller shaft using
a twisting motion. Make sure the carbon
surface is facing toward the ceramic ring in
the backplate.
CAUTION
Very Important!
To prevent damage to the seal,
grasp the lower portion of the seal (opposite the
carbon face) when installing it.
