Noisy Motor

•  Were the fan speeds checked fan speeds prior to installation?
•  Is the ducting clear?
•  Check to make sure motor is attached to housing
•  Is the backdraft damper on the transition piece functioning properly? Does it

open when the hood is engaged?

•  If it is stuck, it will sound like motor noise but it’s really the damper

•  Was a damper installed on the roof or side vent?

•  Check that the damper is fully functioning by engaging the hood and

checking if it opens and closes properly
•  If the motor is accessible, the motor knob can be tightened.

Take off the gray cap. You
can tighten the knob here to
   eliminate any vibration.
