Cleaning after the harvesting season
After the expiry of a mainly dry harvesting season, we recom-
mend a dry cleaning method, e.g. with compressed air.
Has the machine, due to the harvesting conditions, been exposed
to considerable humidity and according contamination, it is nec-
essary to clean the machine with a high-pressure cleaner.
Principally however, the hoods and inlet chains should in any
case first be removed and all bearings lubricated to the extent
specified.

Picking plates
When the machine is being cleaned, the picking plates must
frequently be moved in order to convey dust and residual crop out
of the machine.
If the machine is treated with water, the chain guides must be
removed and the sliding section of the picking plates must be
cleaned and protected against corrosion.
The turning point should be lubricated or greased.

Inlet chain
It is recommended, when storing the inlet chains, to protect these
effectively against corrosion.
Either the chains must be stored accordingly dry, or they must be
kept rust-free with suited oil.
In the following harvesting season, the chains should be mounted
in reverse right/left order, in order to ensure for an even wear.

Picking row gear
Lift the corn header up to working position and shut
down the diesel motor!
Oil filling level control:

Let the machine warm up

and then bring to working position

Shut down the machine. Secure the motor against reac-
tivation.

Loosen the control, respectively filling screw.

Control if shaft is lying in semi-fluid oil.
Filling quantity: 4 kg tube semi-fluid grease EP2
Checking interval: 2x per season (see lubrication chart)
