The heat, ash and residue produced b� the combustion of the fire wood makes
regular cleaning and maintenance b� both the end user as well as an authorized
technician necessar�. Periodicall� carefull� cleaning the stove is important for safe

t�, efficient operation and �in the same time� increasing the life time of the stove.
Do not use steel wool, h�drogen chloride or other corrosive, aggressive or scrat

ching products to clean neither the internal nor the external surface of the stove.

Before starting executing maintenance or cleaning make sure the fire has
extinguished completel� and that an� hot surfaces are cooled down suf

ficientl�.
• Failing to observe the maintenance procedures can result in personal
injuries, operating malfunctions and irreparable damage to the stove and
building.
• The flue/chimne� must be kept clean at all times as soot deposits or not
burnt residues ma� reduce its opening. Culmination of soot deposits or
residues might even catch fire leading to dangerous situations.
• Have the chimne� cleaned and swept b� an authorised specialist following
the local legislation and/or �our insurance compan� prescription. In absen

ce of such local legislation and/or insurance prescription: make sure that
at least twice per �ear (first time at the beginning of the heating season),
�our entire stove s�stem �including chimne�� is checked and maintained
b� an authorized specialist. When intensivel� using the stove the whole
s�stem including the chimne� must be cleaned more frequentl�.
