C. AIR FILTER
The A40 air purifier is equipped with a 4 layer filter package to clean the circulated ro o m
air.
• H E PA (High Efficiency Particulate Airfilter) filter captures allergens like bacteria, dust
and pollen.
• Enzyme filter neutralizes airborne micro organisms.
• Active carbon filter removes unpleasant odours from the air.
• Screen filter captures large dust particles.
The HEPA/Enzyme filter and activate carbon filter continue to work for a long period of
time after opening. The frequency of use and operating conditions determine how often
the filters must be replaced. When the filter is new, the vertical filter lifetime bar lights up
g reen. Depending on the conditions, the lights will be de-activated stepwise. When the
filter is saturated, the ‘Filter’ light
switches on (re d ) . When this happens, take the
following steps:
Switch the device off and remove the plug from the socket.

Remove the screen filter

f rom the device and then remove the H E PA - / E n z y m e - f i l t e r

and the activated carbon filter

Clean the screen filter

with a vacuum cleaner.
Install the new activ carbon filter, followed by the HEPA-/Enzyme-filter and finally the
screen filter (see section B).

. If you do not do this, the
‘ F i l t e r’ light
will remain on and the following filter replacement will not be
displayed.
D i rty filters can be disposed of with household waste (not biologically degradable
waste) without any problem.
New filters are available at your dealer.
AT T E N T I O N !
• Always replace dirty filters with new filters. Never re-use a dirty filter, even
after it has been cleaned.
• Depending on the circumstances it might be comfortable to replace the filters
more frequent.
