Care and maintenance
Danger!
Before cleaning the extraction hood, disconnect the mains plug. If the
plug is not easily accessible, disconnect the power supply using the
recently installed switch (see “Accessibility of power supply”, page
9).
Grease deposits on the extraction hood can ignite in cases of extreme
heat. It is therefore important that the surfaces of the extraction hood
be cleaned regularly.
Use a soft, moist cloth with a little washing-up liquid to wipe the surfaces. The
glass can be cleaned using commercial glass cleaner. Do not use sharp objects or
scouring powder, because the surfaces might be damaged.
Danger!
Grease deposits on the grease filter can ignite in cases of extreme
heat. It is therefore important that the grease filter be replaced
regularly.
• Clean the grease filters at least once a month in the dishwasher (up to 65°C)
or warm soapy water.
• Place the grease filter vertical in the dishwasher for cleaning in order to avoid
food scraps and residue collecting on it.
• Only replace the grease filters when they are completely dry.
• Handle the grease filters carefully, so that the fine mesh does not bend or
kink.
1. Pull the plug out or disconnect the power supply using the recently installed
switch (see “Accessibility of power supply”, page 9).
