Shut down procedure  

 

 

3.2.5.1

 

Online mode 

1.

 

Turn OFF  Power Switch on rear panel. (power will feed from battery to internal electronics. 

(Only valid for internal battery UPS.  On external battery models this switch needs to be always ON) 

1.

 

Turn OFF Battery breaker.  (UPS could notify battery fault alarm) 

2.

 

Turn OFF Mains breaker.  (UPS could notify alarma during internal electronics discharge) 

3.

 

Turn OFF Output breaker.  (Loads will be powered off) 

4.

 

Normally  the  primary  input  distribution  panel  is  often  located  far  away  from  the  UPS  area,  so  a  label 
should be posted to advise service personnel that the UPS circuit is under maintenance.

Battery mode 

1.

 

Turn OFF  Power Switch on rear panel. (power will feed from battery to internal electronics. 

(Only valid for internal battery UPS.  On external battery models this switch needs to be always ON) 

2.

 

Turn OFF Battery breaker.  (UPS could notify battery fault alarm) 

3.

 

Turn OFF Output breaker.  (Loads will be powered off) 

4.

 

If other breakers are not previously turned OFF, now you can do it. 

5.

 

Normally  the  primary  input  distribution  panel  is  often  located  far  away  from  the  UPS  area,  so  a  label 
should be posted to advise service personnel that the UPS circuit is under maintenance. 

 

 

 

 

 

 WARNING 

This procedure should be followed to completely shut down the UPS and the output loads. 

After all power switches, isolators and circuit breakers are opened, there will be no output. 

 

 WARNING 

Wait  for  about  5  minutes  for  the  internal  DC  bus  bar  capacitors  to  be  completely  discharged  to  avoid  any 
electric shock risk.
