 WARNING

Make sure that the engine has stopped and
is cool before performing any service to the
blower. Contact with rotating blower fan or
hot muffler may result in a personal injury.

AIR CLEANER

• Never operate the blower without the air filter or with

a deformed filter element because unfiltered dusty
air will quickly ruin the engine.

Check the air cleaner before use.

A clogged air filter may increase fuel consumption
while cutting down the engine power.

CLEANING AIR FILTER:

1. Remove the air cleaner cover by pulling the tab on

bottom and take out the filter element.

2. Use neutral deterget and warm water to clean the

filter element. After cleaning, air dry the element com-
pletely and moisten with a samll amount of 2 cycle
motor oil.

 NOTE

• Do not apply 4 cycle motor oils as they may damage

element.

• Do not use mixture gasoline. this type of gasoline

does not contain much of oil so that element becomes
dry after a few hours.

9. Maintenance

Maintenance, replacement, or repair of the emission control device and systems may be per-
formed by any non-road engine repair establishment or individual.

 NOTE

Soak the filter element into a 2cycle motor oil. Suqueeze
the element to remove excess oil so that it weighs 2 to 3
times heavier than that of the dry element.

3. Place the filter element into the packing. Set the pack-

ing into the air cleaner body. Set the cover with 2
fixing screws.

 NOTE

• Assure that the screen is securely fitted to the pack-

ing. Fit securely if it is loose.

• Insufficient fixing of screws may cause fall off of the

cover and insufficient sealing.

• Care shall be taken to an direction of the filter ele-

ment. Incorrect direction of the element will result in
poor element performance.

 IMPORTANT

Place the filter element into the packing with the yellow
side facing to the cover. Set the packing into the air
cleaner body. Set the cover with 2 fixing screws.
