observingnationalregulationsandrecognisedrulesoftechnology.

ForWPseriesisrecommendedastraightinletsectionofatleast3xDN.
■
Ideally,atleast2xDNshouldbeavailableastheoutletsection.
■
Beforeinstallingthemeter,thepipingmustbethoroughlyflushedout.
■
Thepipediametershouldnotbereduced,directlyinfrontandbehind
themeter.
■
Flangegasketsmustnotextendintothepipe.
■
Itmustbeensuredthattheflowdirectionofthemetermatchesthatof
thepipe.
■
Valvesorotherflowregulatorsshouldbeinstalled,wherepossible,
behindthemeter.
■
Themetershouldbeinstalled,wherepossible,atthehighestpointof
thepipeinstallationsothatairbubblesarenotabletoforminthemeter
andthepipeisalwayscompletelyfilled.
■
Ifnecessary,themetershouldbeprotectedbyacorrespondingfilter,
sothatnoforeignparticles,suchasstonesorsand,areflushedintothe
measuringinstrumentandcausedamage.
■
Themetermustbeprotectedagainstpressuresurgesinthepipenet

work.
■
Themaximumwatertemperaturemustnotexceedthepermissible50
°Cforcoldwater.

Themeterreadingmustbemultipliedbyfactorx10,forthenominalsizes
DN150toDN300,thenominalsizesDN400andDN500byfactorx100.
Permissible installation positions
TheWPseriesisintendedforinstallationinthehorizontalandvertical
positions.

Itmustbeensuredthatthemeterisinstalledinade-energisedstate
inthepipe.Inthecaseofaninstallationthatisnotde-energised,the
housingofthemeasuringinstrumentcanbedamagedandwatermay
escape.
■
Thepipelinepressuremustnotexceedthemaximumworkingpressure
ofthemeter,asthiscanleadtoleaksanddamageofthemeter.
■
Topreventthedisassemblyofthemeterwerecommendtosecurethe
connectioninterfacewithasafetydevice(adhesivelabel,seal,etc.).
■
AllserieshasbeenapprovedwithaflowsensitivityclassU0/D0(noinlet
outletsectionrequired).
■
Allseriesarenotapprovedforbackflowmeasuring.

Theexchangeofexchangeablemetrologicalunitsmeasuringinsert
shouldonlybeperformedbytrainedspecialiststaff.
■
Beforechangingthemeasuringinsert,thepipemustberinsedcarefully
shutoffthepressuresideandemptythepipe.
■
Thecomplianceoftheinterfacesmarkingonthemeasuringandatthe
specifiedinterface(body)mustbechecked.InterfaceWP1forDN40–
150andtheinterfaceWP5forDN200–300.
■
Afterdisassemblyofthemeasuringinsertoldgaskets/sealsmustbere
-
moved.Thesealingsurfacesmustbecleanedandcheckedfordamage.
■
Itisimportanttoensurethattheinletareaisfreeofdeposit,beforea
newmetrologicalunitisinstalled,becauseasthesecanleadtodevia
-
tionsofthemeasurementresult.
■
Useonlythegenuineseals,whicharedeliveredtogetherwiththe
measuringinsert.Thesehavetobecheckedpriortoinstallationfor
damageandfit.
■
Whenusinglubricants/assemblypastese.g.fortheseals,itmustbe
ensuredthatthesearesuitableforcontactwithdrinkingwater.
■
Tightenthescrewsofthemeasuringunitevenlycrosswise(M12:DN40–
DN125=60Nm;M16:DN150–DN300=85Nm).
■
Topreventthedisassemblyofthereplacablemeasuringinsert,itmust
beconnectedwiththeconnectioninterface(housing)byasealingwire.
