13 Conferencing
There are two types of conferences available, namely
Simplex (Push-To-Talk) and Duplex (Handsfree).
13.1 Simplex Conference (Push-To-Talk)
There are 50 simplex conference channels available with
the default numbers ranging from 8201 to 8250.
Conference off is 8200.
To connect to a conference:
●
Dial the actual conference number (8201 - 8250)
You can then listen to the conversation going on in the
conference. The conference numbers are programmed in
the AlphaCom exchange. Single-touch keys (DAKs) may
be programmed for direct access to conference groups.
To talk into the conference:
●
Press M
The LED indicator on your station lights up to indicate that
the microphone is active. Only one person can talk at a
time. If you press M while someone else is talking, it has
no effect (unless your station has been assigned priority
to override the current talker).
)
While listening to a conference, you can use your
station for ordinary incoming and outgoing calls.
It is not possible to listen to a radio/music program
while using the conference feature. You can include/
exclude stations/groups remotely as you do in setting
up programs.
