1.

Intended use

•

Bench grinder is intended for manual grinding operations such as sharpening

of hand tools, removal of excess metal as well as for flatting metal surfaces.

•

Abrasive grinding wheel with medium grain size is intended for coarse grind-

ing.

•

Abrasive grinding wheel with smaller grain is intended for tool sharpening or

grinding with a small thickness tolerance.

2.

Power switch.

The power switch is located in the front part of the grinder. To turn on the grinder press

the switch and switch it to the ON position. To turn off the grinder press the switch and

switch it to the OFF position.

3. Warning

Before switching the grinder on turn abrasive wheels by hand to make sure they can

rotate freely. Protective glass must not prevent the wheels’ rotation.

4.

Operation

•

Turn on the grinder and let it gain the maximum speed before grinding the

workpiece.

•

Hold the workpiece firmly and move it by equal feed pitches for even grind-

ing.

•

Excessive pressure on the workpiece will overheat the motor and lead to early

wear of the grinding wheels.

•

Do not use lateral surface of the grinding wheel – it creates dangerous load on

the wheel.

5.

After operation

CAUTION!

Metal chips from freshly ground workpieces can stay hot for some time. Make sure

chips and residuals are cool before cleaning the bench grinder. Clean all chips from the

motor cover, body and guards. Check the grinding wheel for chips and cracks.

Maintenance and inspection
