to replace the dust bag if:
a) the dust bag full indicator lights up,
b) the safety valve activates,
c) the vacuum cleaner operates poorly,
d) the dust bag is full.
Special accessories
The following special accessories may be purchased in retail
outlets:
Zelmer electrobrush (29)
Only the electrobrush manufactured by ZELMER may be
used with ZELMER vacuum cleaners. Using other brands of
electrobrushes may cause damage to the vacuum cleaner.
The electrobrush may be used with all ZELMER vacuum
cleaners equipped with the appropriate electrobrush socket.
While using the electrobrush follow the instruction manual.
The electrobrush is especially helpful in cleaning worn out
carpets. Before vacuuming remove all larger elements from
the floor such as: remains of cloth, paper etc. in order to
prevent blocking of the whirling element of the brush.
Zelmer turbobrush (28)
May be used with all types of ZELMER vacuum cleaners. Is
used for an effective vacuuming of carpets and fitted carpets.
While using the turbobrush follow the instruction manual.
The use of the turbobrush decidedly increases the
effectiveness of removing fibrous dirt such as: animal hair,
hair, threads etc. It is practically useful in households with
pets (cats, dogs), where removing the animal hair from the
carpets and floorings is very onerous.
End of operation cleaning and
maintenance

Switch off the vacuum cleaner by pressing the “on/off”
button

Unplug the appliance.

Wind the cord by pressing the cord rewind button

While doing this hold the cord to make sure it is not tangled
and the plug does not hit the vacuum cleaner housing.

Press the two side buttons on the end of the hose and
remove the hose end from the inlet opening of the vacuum
cleaner.

Disconnect the telescopic tube from the nozzle or brush.

Disconnect the telescopic tube from the hose. In order to
remove the tube from the hose handle press the
“A”
locking
device and pull the tube in the direction of the arrow.

The vacuum cleaner may be stored horizontally. The
hose may be attached to the vacuum cleaner, however
you have to make sure that it is not excessively bent during
storing.

If necessary wipe the housing and the dust bag container
with a damp cloth (it may be soaked with dishwashing liquid)
and dry it or wipe until dry.
Do not use abrasive detergents or solvents.
Examples of problems while operating the
vacuum cleaner

A characteristic “fluttering”
of the vacuum cleaner is
heard which indicates the
opening of the safety

• The dust bag may be full – replace
the dust bag.
• Replace the dust bag even if it is not
full yet. In unfavorable conditions, fine
dust might have clogged the pores on
the surface of the dust bag.
• The suction tube, the hose or the
attachment is blocked – remove the
cause of the clogging.
The dust bag is damaged. Remove the dust bag and the filters.
The suction power of the
vacuum cleaner is weak.
Replace the dust bag and the filters,
check the suction tube, the hose and
the nozzle - remove the cause of the
clogging.
The electrical installation
fuse went out.
Check if other appliances are not
plugged to the same electrical circuit as
the vacuum cleaner. If the fuse goes out
repeatedly, return the vacuum cleaner to
a service point.
The vacuum cleaner does
not operate; the housing
or the cord is damaged.
Return the vacuum cleaner to a service
point.
The remote power control
(type 1600.3) does not
work.
• The batteries do not sufficiently
connect or are incorrectly inserted.
– Open the battery compartment in the
hose handle and press the batteries
into place. Make sure that the poles
– and + are directed properly.
• The batteries may be dead.
– Replace the batteries.
Ecology – Environmental protection
Each user can contribute to protect the environment. It is
neither difficult nor expensive. In order to do so:
Return cardboard packages to recycling points.
Throw polyethylene (PE) bags into appropriate containers.
Batteries contain substances harmful to the
natural environment. Do not throw them away
with other household waste. Return used
batteries to recycling points. Before disposing
of or returning the appliance to a recycling
point make sure to remove the batteries from
the battery compartment (type 1600.3).
Return a worn out appliance to an appropriate collecting
point as the components of the appliance may pose a threat
to the environment.
Do not dispose of with household waste!!!
