Hints for ironing
1. Sort out the articles to be ironed according to the type of fabric. This
will minimize the frequency of temperature adjustment for different gar
-
ments.
2. Test ironing some area on the inside of the garment if you are un-sure
about the type of fabric. Start with a low temperature and in-crease
gradually.
3. Wait for three minutes before ironing heat sensitive fabrics. Tempera
-
ture adjustment needs certain time to reach the required level no matter
it is higher or lower.
4. Delicate fabrics such as silk, wool, velour, etc. are best ironed with an
ironing cloth to prevent shine marks.
5. You may need to press a few times the button

to activate the burst
of steam.
6. Follow the manufacturer’s ironing instructions. Read the garment
labels which are often shown by symbols, e.g.:

The iron technical parameters are included at the name plate.
Capacity of the water tank: 36 ml.
The iron is I class appliance, equipped with power cord with protective wire
and a plug with grounding.
The ZELMER iron meets the requirements of effective standards.

How to fill the water
Disconnect the iron from a mains supply outlet.

Move the Steam Control Knob

position.
Fill the tank

of the iron with water:
a) Release the water inlet cover

of the tank.
b) Fill water through the water inlet hole by means of the included wa

ter vessel.
Fill up to below the

“MAX“
level marked on the side of the water tank.
Close the water inlet hole by means of the water inlet cover

For best results, it is advisable to use each time fresh demineralised
or destilled water. Do not use chemically descaled water or any other
liquid.
Temperature setting
Check the garment labels. Adjust the temperature on the Temperature
–
Dial:
● synthetics (low temperature)
● ● silk/wool (medium temperature)
● ● ● cotton/linen (high temperature)
