Calibration Procedure
The software guides you through the remaining calibration steps. In the
first step, make sure that the calibration object is in the center of the
measuring volume.

Automatic exposure time
.
In exceptional case, option
Automatic exposure time
cannot work cor‐
rectly.
Then, disable this option. To set the optimum exposure time for the cam‐
era image, use the exposure time wheel.
When the red overexposed areas are just no longer visible, an optimum
exposure time is given.

The following 12 calibration steps ask you to place the calibration object
in defined positions perpendicular to the sensor.
The GOM software guides you to the correct positions in the measuring
volume.

The GOM Scan 1 sensor is not equipped with laser pointers. The red mark‐
ing in figure Fig. 9 shows the starting position for the calibration. In the
first calibration position, the calibration object is in the center of the meas‐
uring volume.
