Oven Function Control Knob
Here you can find the symbols appearing on the Oven
Function Control Knob and their meaning.
Conventional cooking - The heat comes from both
the top and bottom element, ensuring even heating
inside the oven.
Grill element - The heat comes from the top of the
oven only.
Bottom heating element - The heat comes from
the bottom of the oven only.
Fan cooking - This allows you to roast or roast
and bake simoultaneously using any shelf, without
flavour transference.
Defrost Setting - This setting is intended to assist
in thawing of frozen food.
Thermostat Control Knob (Fig.2)
By turning the oven control knob clockwise, you can
select cooking temperatures, from 50° C up to 250° C
(MAX).
Thermostat control Light
Once the oven temperature has been selected, the tem-
perature light will come on and remain on until the oven
has reached the correct setting; after that, it will go on
and off with the thermostat, showing how the temperatu-
re is being maintained.
Oven function control light
This light will come on when the oven function control
knob is set on a function.
Mechanical Minute Minder (Fig.3)
The Minute Minder can be set for a maximum period of
60 minutes.
Turn the Minute Minder Knob clockwise until the
maximum setting is reached, then turn it back to the
required cooking time.
When the timed period is up, an acoustic alarm will sound.
The Minute Minder does not affect the oven operation,
and does not switch off the oven when the acoustic alarm
comes on.
The Safety Thermostat
This oven is provided with a safety thermostat. In case of
malfunctioning of the main thermostat, and consequent
over-heating, the safety device will stop the power supply
to the appliance. If this happens, call your local Service
Centre. Under no circumstances should you attempt to
repair the appliance yourself.
The Cooling Fan for the
Controls
This oven is provided with a cooling fan, meant to keep
the front panel, the knobs and the oven door handle cool.
This fan may run on after the oven or grill is switched off,
until a normal temperature is reached.

When cooking meat, the
grease filter must be
fitted over the oven fan
by clipping it over the
vents in the back panel.
This will prevent a built-
up of fat on the fan
impellor. Do not use
abrasive materials to
clean the seal.
The grease filter is
dishwasher proof.
When cooking is completed and the oven has cooled
down, remove the filter by pushing the protruding tongue
on the filter upward.
