4.4.   Alarms

4.4.1. Temperature probe fault alarm

If  the  probe  is  faulty  or  not  connected,  or  the  temperature  given  is  too

high (signal from the probe interrupted) or too low (short-circuited probe),
the system activates an alarm signal.

A buzzer goes on and off for about 10 seconds while the symbol for the
heating element alternates with that for the alarm

. The backlighting changes from

white to red.

If  the  faulty  probe  turns  out  to be the one for the top of the oven (TEMP
1), the temperature shown on the first line of the display will no longer be
the  average between the probes at both the top and the bottom but only
that  taken  by  the  bottom  temperature  probe  (TEMP  2).  This  allows  the
user to continue cooking whilst waiting for technical assistance.
Interrupting  the  cooking  cycle  with  the  "start"  key  puts  the  system  in  the
“ON”  state;  the  backlighting  goes  back  to  being  white  but  the  alarm

symbol remains highlighted (not alternating)

 in place of the

symbol for the top heating element.

After  having  identified  a  fault,  it  is  necessary  to  turn  on  and  turn  off  the
system with the "on/off" key to restore all the

system’s functions .

Conversely, if the faulty probe turns out to be the one for the bottom of the
oven (TEMP 2) the temperature shown on the first line of the display will
no  longer  be  the  average  between  the  probes  at  both  the  top  and  the
bottom but only that taken by the top temperature probe (TEMP 1).
Interrupting  the  cooking  cycle  with  the  "start"  key  puts  the  system  in  the
“ON”  state;  the  backlighting  goes  back  to  being  white  but  the  alarm

symbol remains highlighted (not alternating)

 in place of the

symbol for the bottom heating element.

After  having  identified  a  fault,  it  is  necessary  to  turn  on  and  turn  off  the
system with the "on/off" key to restore

all the system’s functions.

If both the probes are faulty, the buzzer sounds at regular intervals for 30
seconds  while  the  symbols  for  the  top  and  bottom  heating  elements  are
