Making a Firmware Update

Update Via the User Interface

The DME-10-G supports updating of firmware through the user interface. You will need an update
file provided by Z3 Technology. You can find the software originally loaded on your encoder on the
USB drive provided with your system.

(1)

In the user interface System Setup tab, c

lick the “Update device firmware” button.

(2)

This brings you to the update image screen. In this screen, click on the “Choose File” button.

(3)

This brings you to the File Selection Screen. Navigate to the .img file to update with and click

“Open”.

(4)

Click on “Upload and Update”.

(5)

You will see screens stating that the image is being uploaded and that the flash is being

updated. After about one minute, you should see the main menu again.

(6)

Your encoder is now updated.
