B-Frame GOP
Structure
open [IBB]
closed [BBI]
An open structure means a B-frame can refer to
an I-frame in the preceding GOP. “Closed” means
all B-frames in a GOP can only refer to I and P-
frames within the GOP. Using “open” will lead to
slightly better compression. “Closed” is useful
when you know you plan to put chapter markers
in the content (the DVD standard requires that
any GOP used as a chapter marker must be a
closed GOP). The default is “Open.”
B-frame Interval
1
– 3 (
3
)
# of B-frames between P-frames minus 1. Setting
“1” means no B-frames. Setting “3” means 2 B-
frames between every P-frame.
Audio Delay
0
– 1000ms
Can be used with “video delay” to adjust
audio/video offset when the A/V sync of the
source is a little off. This is typically set to 0.
Video Delay
0

Output Interface
Ethernet
Where the output stream goes to. In this RPS
only Ethernet output is supported.
Video Passthru
HDMI
Where the passthrough video is sent to. In this
RPS only HDMI passthrough is supported.
Output Format
MPEG-2 TS
RTP
Selects between MPEG-2 TS encapsulated streams
(sent over UDP), or RTP.
Dest IP Address
192.168.x.y
(192.168.0.6)
The IP address that the encoder is streaming to.
Dest Port
0 – 9999 (
5004
)
The port that the encoder is streaming to.
ASI Bitrate
0 – 20000k (
12000k
)
Governs the transport stream rate. In general, it
is good to give a 30-50% margin over the video
bitrate. This parameter is only valid when
“Output Format” is “MPEG-TS.”
Note 1: Encode Resolutions Supported:
WQVGA (320x180), QVGA (320x240), SIF (352x240), CIF (352x288), 2-CIF (352x576), 640x360, VGA

“De-interlace” = Follow input and de-interlace
Note 2: GOP Sizes Supported:
